Provided technical/commercial quotations and process designs for a wide range of thermal oxidation systems including chlorinated, spent caustic, fume, sulfur plant, and staged-combustion NOx reduction systems.  Taught Chlorinated Systems portion of John Zink Institute’s Thermal Oxidizer School for 4 years.

Responsible for production facility infrastructure projects supporting Oil & Gas Production. Other projects included piloting new emissions control mobile combustor systems and front end work on alternative heater technologies to eliminate direct-fired crude oil separation equipment.

Provided process designs to clients in the Ammonia Industry as well as Upstream and Midstream Oil & Gas, including truck load out systems, condenser/compressor system retrofits, flare packages and stabilization tower studies. 

Production Engineer 

Nutrien: 2015 – 2017 Geismar, LA

Area Engineer at an ammonia complex for three nitric acid units, a urea unit and ammonium nitrate unit during several revamps and TARs. Managed nitric acid platinum catalyst program and collaborated effectively with PSM, EHS, reliability and project team peers in planning outages for maximum throughput, without significant plant yield loss.

Apache Nitrogen: 2013 – 2015 St. David, AZ

Lead site Process Engineer for two nitric acid units, an ammonium nitrate unit and solids prilling operation. Responsibilities included PSM implementation, Production Support, Small CAPEX Projects and participation in facility FEED Expansion Study.

Project Engineer at an ammonia complex responsible for CAPEX projects, including a new ammonia storage tank flare and front end engineering support for elimination of chlorine gas as a biocide for facility cooling towers.

Process Engineer for Food Grade Sodium Chloride Evaporation complex and Dry Mill.  Managed site & brine well field environmental compliance, daily production tracking and small CAPEX projects to improve boiler and multi-effect evaporator/crystallizer thermal efficiencies.
